FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about the QYN blockchain, testnet, and mainnet.

What is QYN?

QYN (Quyn) is a fast, EVM-compatible blockchain built as a protocol-level truth verification network. It can process up to 50,000 on-chain operations per second with 3-second finality. Founded by Joseph Robinson, QYN aims to provide a neutral, tamper-resistant truth layer for the internet. The network uses proof-of-stake consensus and is developed as blockchain infrastructure, not as a financial services platform.

How fast is QYN?

QYN is designed for high throughput: up to 50,000 operations per second (TPS) in optimal conditions. Blocks are produced every few seconds with a target of around 3 seconds, and the network achieves 3-second finality so that once a record is confirmed, it is considered irreversible. This makes QYN one of the fastest EVM-compatible chains.

How do I obtain testnet balances?

Testnet balances are provided solely for development and testing. Configure your tools to connect to QYN Testnet (Chain ID 7779, RPC https://rpc.getquyn.com), then follow the instructions on the testnet page on getquyn.com for how test funds are being allocated during the current phase. Testnet balances have no monetary value and are for development and testing only.

When is mainnet?

Mainnet is planned for Q4 2026. Before that, the team is running a public testnet so developers can build and test applications. Check the roadmap on getquyn.com for the latest dates.

Is QYN regulated?

QYN is currently operated as blockchain infrastructure and does not conduct regulated activities such as exchange operation, custodial services over customer assets, or public sales of cryptoassets. QYN testnet balances have no monetary value and the network operates as a test environment. For more, see the Regulatory Status and Risk Warning pages on getquyn.com.

Is QYN EVM compatible?

Yes. QYN is fully EVM compatible. You can deploy existing Solidity smart contracts without changes. The chain supports standard JSON-RPC methods and the same tooling (Hardhat, Foundry, etc.) that you use with Ethereum. See the docs for RPC endpoints and deployment guides.

How do I run a QYN node?

Documentation for running a QYN node and becoming a validator is available in the docs. You will need to meet hardware requirements, install the node software, and configure your node to connect to the network. See /docs/run-a-node for the full guide.

Where can I see transactions and blocks?

Use the QYN Explorer at getquyn.com/explorer. You can search by block number, transaction hash, or address. The explorer shows real-time data from the testnet including balances, transaction history, and block details.
